Changing Hearts, Changing Lives
Rev 1:18
Each Sunday morning we pick up students at the Morganfield Campus
and take to church, we are need of people who can volunteer there time
and help pick up students and take to church. We are also in need of help
to support this ministry.
On every Tuesday Night Bro. Ed Henson and Clint Brame have a Bible study at the Morganfield Campus in which they take an in depth look into God's word. It is a chance for students to get deeper into the word and cultivate a deeper relationship with their Savior.
Every Wednesday we serve lunch
to approx. 30-40 students. During this time a discipleship class takes place. It is taught by one of the HR Ministries staff or a guest speaker out of a book
that they have written. It is a great opportunity for the students to get deeper in the word and for you and I to get to know the students.
is a way to get involved
.
Every Tuesday on the Morganfield Campus we tutor for two blocks before lunch.
On the 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturday Night of every month we have worship service at
the Morganfield Campus in which we have music, dramas, sign language (interpretive movement), puppets.
We would love for you or your Church,
Youth Group or College Group to come a be a part of the service.
We go each to week to worship and praise God. This is such a great opportunity and experience for a group
to be involved with. We would love to have your group come and be a part of this.
H R Ministries reaches out to the students needs at the campus's by providing students
who are enrolled in school who are trying to receive their GED with tutoring in a variety
of subjects (Math, Reading, English and Writing. We feel this ministry is a way to get involved
with the students and let them know that we truly care for them. It also gives us a chance to
get to know the students on a more personal level. We tutor on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and
on Tuesday evening.
Each week new students arrive at the Morganfield Campus and the Job Corp provides them
with a new student luncheon to help teach them what will be expected of them. We have seen
this as a great opportunity
to meet the new students that come each week and continue to make
a presence on the campus. When we attend these luncheons, we hand out new students care packages
also we want take some time and get to know the students on a more personal level. We also see
this a opportunity to help the new students who may difficulties adjusting to a new environment.
Since Greenville and Morganfield campus's have the luncheon on the same day it is difficult for
us to be at both locations. We are in need of volunteers to go and reach out to the students upon there
arrival at Job Corps.
If you would like to come and do a special event with us at the Morganfield Job Corp Campus,
such as Jesus Video distribution, basketball tournaments, carnivals, Job Shadow Day, Christmas parties,
summer picnics or any other event that your church or groups would like to do with us. We would love
for you to come and partner with us to do a event.
